            <p id="isPasted">HRUC&rsquo;s new SEND centre based at Barra Hall in Hayes will be opening in September 2026. &nbsp;</p><p>This welcoming new campus will provide a high-quality inclusive learning environment for SEND students, and improve outcomes for students with special educational needs, including those with severe learning needs (SLD). &nbsp;&nbsp;</p><p>We are seeking to appoint Personal Care Assistants who are passionate about supporting young adults with complex disabilities to live happy and fulfilling lives, with as much independence as possible. &nbsp;This is a specialist role that involves supporting our students with complex personal care needs throughout the day. Experience of working with people with additional needs is essential, as is demonstrable previous training/knowledge of the following: Moving &amp; Handling, Personal Care, Dignity in Care, Feeding, Dysphagia, Infection Control, Medication, Disability First Aid.&nbsp;</p><p>You must be willing and able to start work at 8.45am and finish at 4.30pm (4.15pm on Fridays), with a 30 minute lunch break.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Notice for Recruitment Agencies:&nbsp;</strong></p><p>HRUC operates with a managed service provider (MSP) for recruitment services. Working closely with young people, their parents/carers, Local Authorities, parents and carers, you will interview and assess students with disabilities and health needs, create Individual Support Plans, co-ordinate the allocation of support, chair Annual Reviews and ensure all administration is completed to ensure the timescales of the Local Authority timescales are met. &nbsp;You will also line manage a team of Learning Support staff.</p><p>You will need to have a good standard of education with a specialist qualification in aspects of SEN including ASD and SPLD. &nbsp;You will need to possess at least 5 years&rsquo; experience in SEN within a Secondary or FE setting, with experience of management of provision and experience of working collaboratively with parents, colleagues and external organisations. &nbsp;A confident communicator with strong organisational skills, you should also have good leadership skills with experience of managing or supervising others. &nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Notice for Recruitment Agencies:&nbsp;</strong></p><p>HRUC operates with a managed service provider (MSP) for recruitment services.
