            <p id="isPasted">Reporting to the Director &ndash; Foundation &ndash; Curriculum &amp; Support, as Head of School for Foundation for Harrow College&nbsp;you will provide strategic and operational leadership for learners with mild to complex needs, ensuring inclusive, high-quality provision and outstanding learner outcomes. You will lead and inspire a team of curriculum and support staff across both full-time and part-time programmes, driving excellence in teaching, learning, and assessment across all levels of need.</p><p>You will be responsible for curriculum planning, development, and quality assurance, including managing qualification changes and aligning programmes with local skills priorities, national SEND reforms, and the Preparing for Adulthood framework.             <p id="isPasted">We are seeking to appoint full time or part time Communication Support Workers to provide support for deaf and hard of hearing students at Uxbridge College (Uxbridge and Hayes campuses).</p><p>You will ensure that deaf and hard of hearing students are supported in class and are able to gain maximum access to the curriculum. You will promote awareness of the support services within the college and encourage awareness of the needs of deaf and hard of hearing learners with both staff and students.</p><p>You should be qualified to a minimum of British Sign Language Level 3, possess good signing skills and have experience of working with deaf and/or hard of hearing people, ideally in an educational environment. &nbsp; &nbsp;Good team working skills and a flexible approach to meeting the needs of all students are also required. &nbsp;</p><p>Please note, we are unable to offer sponsorship for this role.</p><p>Applications will be shortlisted and interviewed on a rolling basis. &nbsp;We therefore encourage you to apply at the earliest opportunity to avoid disappointment.</p><p>Please note: for individuals who start a term time only role after 1st September, the salary will be pro-rated from the start date to the end of this academic year (31<sup>st</sup> August 2026). Our Foundation Learning provision provides high-quality education and support for learners with a wide range of learning difficulties, disabilities and additional needs.&nbsp;</p><p>Reporting to the Director of Foundation Learning - Curriculum and Support, in this newly created post you will be responsible for the management and quality of all additional learning support for High Needs learners at Harrow and Uxbridge colleges.&nbsp;</p><p>Main responsibilities of the role will include:</p><ul><li>Managing Additional Learning Support provision for High Needs learners within Uxbridge and Harrow Colleges and co-ordinating the delivery of support, with responsibility for all associated funding, claims and documentation.</li><li>Ensuring that learners receive the full range of support to which they are entitled and identified within EHCPs in a timely manner and to the highest of standards</li><li>Leading and managing a team of staff, providing them with the inspiration, direction and support they need to deliver outstanding learning support.</li><li>Delivering against all agreed performance targets for the area - e.g. those relating to Additional Learning Support funding, Adult Skills Budget funding and recruitment, retention, attendance and achievement for learners with support needs</li></ul><p>We are seeking an individual who can demonstrate the following:</p><ul><li>Degree and/or professional experience at an appropriate level</li><li>Proven experience of managing additional learning support, ideally in Further Education, leading to demonstrable improvements in learner experience and success</li><li>Experience of effectively assessing learners&rsquo; additional learning needs, accurately identifying support requirements and maintaining all associated records to the highest standard</li><li>Experience in working with Local Authorities and other agencies with regards to agreeing and negotiating High Needs placements and appropriate funding</li><li>Sound knowledge of Additional Learning Support funding and Adult Educational Budget funding relating to ALS</li><li>Strong knowledge of the SEND code of practice and experience of its implementation</li><li>Experience of leading teams and/or managing staff &nbsp;</li></ul><p>The postholder will be required to work at both Harrow and Uxbridge sites as required.</p><p>You will be joining a supportive and inclusive organisation, with opportunities for professional development and growth. &nbsp;We offer a range of benefits for staff including pension scheme, wellness platform, staff discounts, employee assistance programme and free car parking on all sites.</p><p>The closing date may be brought forward if we receive a sufficient field of applications.
