            <p id="isPasted">HRUC&rsquo;s new SEND centre based at Barra Hall in Hayes will be opening in September 2026. &nbsp;</p><p>This welcoming new campus will provide a high-quality inclusive learning environment for SEND students, and improve outcomes for students with special educational needs, including those with severe learning needs (SLD). &nbsp;&nbsp;</p><p>We are seeking to appoint a Senior Learning and Care Support Assistant to coordinate the provision of specialist support for students with profound and complex needs. &nbsp; Working closely with other team members and curriculum staff, you will design, develop and implement Individual Care Plans, risk assessments and Individual Support Plans. You will also line manage a team of Learning and Care Support Assistants and ensure the completion of relevant administration. &nbsp;Working hours&nbsp;</p><p>We are seeking a candidate who can demonstrate the following:&nbsp;</p><ul type="disc"><li>Trained in Manual Handling, First Aid, Safe Administration of Medication, Epilepsy, Anaphylaxis, Dysphasia and Diabetes including the safe administration of Insulin.&nbsp;</li><li>Experience of providing specialist support for young people</li><li>Good knowledge of effective support and intervention strategies for learners with Profound and Complex SEND &nbsp;</li><li>Experience of assessing children/young people to identify individual needs and have a good understanding of the range and types of interventions available</li><li>Strong administrative and organisational skills</li><li>The ability to lead a team effectively</li><li>Ability and willingness to start work at 8.45am each day</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Please note, we are unable to offer sponsorship for this role.</p><p><br></p><p id="isPasted"><strong>Notice for Recruitment Agencies:&nbsp;</strong></p><p>HRUC operates with a managed service provider (MSP) for recruitment services. This welcoming new campus will provide a high-quality inclusive learning environment for SEND students, and improve outcomes for students with special educational needs, including those with severe learning needs (SLD). &nbsp;&nbsp;</p><p>Reporting to the Head of Learning Support, you will be responsible for overseeing the medical requirements for learners with complex medical needs.</p><p>Main responsibilities will include:</p><ul type="disc"><li>Working alongside medical professionals and multi-disciplinary teams for the provision of physiotherapy, speech and language therapy, occupational therapy input and medication administration, ensuring all learners are adequately supported</li><li>Implementing and reviewing Individual Support and Care plans and Individual risk assessments for learners with medical needs, ensuring that EHCP recommendations are implemented</li><li>Line managing a team of Learning and Care Support Assistants, and providing support and training for staff in relation to the individual needs of students</li></ul><p>You will be a Registered Nurse or Qualified Nursing Associate/Healthcare Assistant who can demonstrate the following:</p><ul type="disc"><li>Trained in Manual Handling, First Aid, Safe Administration of Medication, Epilepsy, Anaphylaxis, Dysphagia and Diabetes including the safe administration of emergency medication &nbsp;</li><li>Knowledge of the Children and Families Act and the SEN and Disability Code of Practice 0-25 years and associated regulations</li><li>Experienced in working with learners with Profound and Complex SEND &nbsp;</li><li>Extensive understanding of CQC Standards and Regulations</li><li>Experienced in producing individual Care Plans and Risk Assessments</li><li>Good understanding of Health and Social Care processes</li><li>The ability to manage a team effectively</li></ul><p id="isPasted">The post holder will be based at Barra Hall, Hayes, and must be willing and able to travel to other college sites when required.&nbsp;</p><p>Please note, we are unable to offer sponsorship for this role.</p><p><br></p><p id="isPasted"><strong>Notice for Recruitment Agencies:&nbsp;</strong></p><p>HRUC operates with a managed service provider (MSP) for recruitment services.
